Mug Cake

Got a sweet tooth? Yeah, we do too. These mug cakes are the perfect sugary snack for your afternoons!

⅓ cup flour





⅓ cup + 1 tbsp maple syrup







1 tbsp cacao





¼ tsp baking soda





pinch of salt






½ tsp vinegar





¼ tsp vanilla extract







2 tsp coconut oil





2-3 tbsp water


  1. Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl.

  2. Whisk until well combined.

  3. Combine all wet ingredients in another bowl.

  4. Whisk until smooth.

  5. Add dry ingredients to wet and mix until smooth and well incorporated.

  6. Pour batter into a ceramic mug or mason jar (or whatever microwave safe dish you are using).

  7. Microwave on high for 1½ – 2 minutes. (Time varies depending on microwave wattage.)

  8. Remove from microwave and allow to cool.

  9. Top with icing, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, or chocolate chips if desired.
